Q: What can I do if I have chosen the wrong course?

A: Please contact the Registrar’s Division of Office of Academic Affairs to receive the “Statement about Rescheduling Courses” and correct the result before the fourth week after classes begin.

Q: After the end of the add/ drop period of course selection, how can I request a course withdrawal?

A: Students can request a course withdrawal through Taipei Tech Portal - Online Course Withdrawal System during the 5th week (9 a.m.) – 12th week (5 p.m.). However, the dropped course will be noted on the transcript.

Note: Those who haven’t completed the course confirmation process might not be able to withdraw courses.】

Q: How to apply for course credit waivers? Is there any related regulation?

Q: How to check for the grades online?

A: Please log in to Taipei Tech Portal à Applications à System of Academic Affairs à Student Grades Query System.

Q: How to request a score review?

A: If you disagree with your final grade, you may request a score review through submitting the “Application Form for Score Review” (download: https://oaa.ntut.edu.tw/var/file/8/1008/img/2985/G1en.odt) to the Registrar’s Division within 7 days after receiving the transcript.

Q: How to apply for suspension or termination of study?

A:

1. Please download, complete, and submit the forms below to the Registrar’s Division of Office of Academic Affairs:

(1) Application for Day School Suspension (Drop-out), Leave, and Refund”(https://oaa.ntut.edu.tw/var/file/8/1008/img/2985/C6en.odt)

Note: Undergraduate students should receive guardian/parent’s permission and submit the Parental Consent Form as well.】

2. The approval notification will be sent to the applicant’s permanent address through postal service.

Q: How to apply for resumption of study?

A: Please fill out the “Reply Form for Expiration of Leave of Absence” (the form is attached to the “Notification for Approval of National Taipei University of Technology Day School Student’s Leave of Absence”) and submit the form to the Registrar’s Division of Office of Academic Affairs by the end of the semester before your resumption (that is, Jul. 31 or Jan. 31).

Q: How to check for the regulations related to the minimum English Proficiency Requirements for Graduation?

Q: After the English proficiency test, how can I submit my score for the minimum English Proficiency Requirements for Graduation?

A:

1. For English proficiency test provided by reputable international or local institution:

Please download, fill out the “Application Form for Registering English Proficiency Test Result”(https://oaa.ntut.edu.tw/var/file/8/1008/img/2985/I4en.odt), and submit the form together with the transcript (both the original copy and the duplicate copy) to the Registrar’s Division of the Office of Academic Affairs.

2. For English proficiency test provided by Taipei Tech:

The scores will be updated by the University. Therefore, students do not need to submit the score for application.

Q: How to receive the Degree Certificate if I am eligible to graduate?

A:

1. Please complete the personal information and submit the graduation application through Taipei Tech Portal à Applications à System of Academic Affairs à Graduation Procedures System.

After being approved by relevant offices, a confirmation letter will be sent to the applicant. Please bring the confirmation letter, student ID card, and your personal stamp to the Registrar’s Division to receive the degree certificate according to the information announced by the Office of Academic Affairs.

2. If you are not able to receive the degree certificate in person, you may authorize others to receive the degree certificate for you. The authorized person should bring the following document:

(1) the student ID card (or the application form for the loss of the student ID card) of the graduating student.

(2) the confirmation letter sent by the system.

(3) letter of attorney written by the graduating student.

(4) the ID card of the authorized person.

Q: How to apply for the English/ Chinese transcript, grade ranking certificate, and certificate of enrollment?

A: The English/ Chinese transcript, grade ranking certificate, and certificate of enrollment may be issued by the automatic payment machine at the Joint Service Center.

【Note: Please make sure you have completed the registration process (including course selection) through the following steps before applying for the academic documents: log in to Taipei Tech à System of Student Affairs à Student Query Systemà Class & Mentor (a reference mark ※ will be presented to show the completion of registration). After confirming your registration status, you may print out the academic documents through the automatic payment machine. However, if there is no reference mark on the system, please complete the registration process (including course selection), and bring the receipt of the tuition fee to the Registrar’s Division of the Office of Academic Affairs to update your registration status.

Q: How to apply for the certificate of enrollment to extend the Alien Resident Certificate (A.R.C.) during winter/summer vacation?

A: Please pay the fee for the certificate of enrollment at the automatic payment machine or Office of General Affairs (7th floor of administration building), and bring the receipt along with the original copy of your ARC to the Registrar’s Division of Office of Academic Affairs.

Q: How to apply for the certificate of enrollment to extend the Alien Resident Certificate (A.R.C.) during winter/summer vacation?

Q: How to apply for reissuing of my student ID card?

A:

1. To apply for a new student ID card, please log in to Taipei Tech Portal à Applications à System of Academic Affairs à Reporting a Lost Student ID Card System à fill out the Application Form and print it out.

2. Pay NTD 200 for reissuing of student ID card through the automatic payment machine or Office of General Affairs (7th floor of administration building), and submit the receipt along with Application Form to the Joint Service Center.

Please bring your Alien Resident Certificate (A.R.C.) to receive the reissued student ID card at the Office of Academic Affairs (1st floor of administration building) after two business days.

Q: How to apply for changing your personal information (e.g., address, phone number, ARC number)?

A: Please download, fill out the form “Alteration to Student Enrollment Information” (https://oaa.ntut.edu.tw/var/file/8/1008/img/2985/C5en.odt), and submit the form along with relevant supporting documents to the Office of International Affairs (O.I.A.). After the review of O.I.A., please submit the documents to the Joint Service Center or the Registrar’s Division of Office of Academic Affairs.

Q: How to check for information regarding (1) direct doctoral programs, (2) change of major, (3) minor/dual degrees, (4) joint undergraduate and graduate program?

Q: How to apply for early graduation?

A: Please refer to “Regulations Governing the Application for Early Graduation” (https://oaa.ntut.edu.tw/p/412-1008-13399.php?Lang=en). Eligible applicants may complete and submit the “Application Form of Early Graduation for Students with Outstanding Academic Performance” (https://oaa.ntut.edu.tw/var/file/8/1008/img/2985/I1en.odt) along with the transcript to the department office for approval, then hand the documents to the Registrar’s Division of Office of Academic Affairs.

Q: How to request a course underload?

A: Only those who have fulfilled the requirements listed in “Policy on Student Course Selection” (https://oaa.ntut.edu.tw/var/file/8/1008/img/2981/E1en.pdf) may be eligible to submit the application. Please fill out the “Course Underload Request Form” (https://oaa.ntut.edu.tw/var/file/8/1008/img/2985/E1en.odt), attach the transcript to the form, and obtain approvals/signatures from relevant offices. After completing the procedures, please submit the documents to the Registrar’s Division of Office of Academic Office for permission.
