Minors / Double Majors

 

 


Eligibility

Taipei Tech Students

★   Minors: Undergraduate students between sophomore year to the end of the first semester of their last year of study period (excluding cases with extended study period).

★   Double Majors: Undergraduate students between sophomore years to the end of the first semester of their last year of study period (excluding cases with extended study period). Transfer students need to study at original department for one academic year before starting their double major studies.※ Pursuant to Item 5 of the NTUT Guidelines for Student ID Card Management, students who change their majors may replace their student ID cards, if desired, according to the reissuance/replacement procedures.

University System of Taipei

The University System of Taipei allows students from its four schools to select minors and double majors to study across the four schools. The subject of major / minor and courses offered by each university and other information can be inquired by clicking on “Minors / Double Majors” at the University System of Taipei website for regulations set forth by other universities.

Timeline

Students at Taipei Tech wishing to take minors and double majors will be processed simultaneously via “Advanced Application System” and “Post Approval System”. 

Students from the University System of Taipei wishing to study at Taipei Tech will all be processed via “Advanced Application System”. 

  • Advanced Application System: Students qualified to study per eligibility abovementioned would apply in accordance with deadline and method set forth in Taipei Tech’s Enrollment Announcement.  After requests for adding a second major / a minor is approved, the Office of Academic Affairs will notify students in regards to the review results.
  • Post Approval System: Students are allowed to earn credits of required course for a minor / double major, and after obtaining qualified grades from the courses, they are able to apply, within the first two weeks of the last semester of their year of graduation, with the Office of Academic Affairs for their minor / double major qualification review.
